Following a 92-72 loss to Wiregrass in the season opener, Tuesday night’s game against Success Unlimited was the first opportunity for Lee-Scott to improve in 2020, and the Warriors pulled out a clutch victory for the first win of the season.
Lee-Scott advanced to 1-1 with the 55-51 win over Success Unlimited. The Mustangs jumped out to a 16-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Warriors won each of the remaining quarters.
Senior forward Carson Alexander was named the Lee-Scott Sports Network Player of the Week for his double-double performance. Alexander finished the game with 12 points, 10 rebounds and one block. He was 3-for-5 from the field and knocked down 6-of-8 free throws.
Sophomore guard Hutch Sprayberry exploded for a team-high 20 points. He added nine rebounds, two assists and one steal to his tally as well.
